'Today it rained all day. Not like little spits of rain, but torrential rain, which made all the soil on the ground so saturated with water that it overflowed a bit. One disappointing thing about teaching the school was that not many students attended as some of them are required to walk almost three hours to get to the school.

However, we adapted to our circumstances and were happy to teach the pupils we had. Some of us had really good lessons as the content was engaging and the students cooperated well. Over the course of our trip so far, we have noticed that students have been progressing in the subjects we have offered them.

By interacting with the students in the way we have, we were able to learn about their way of life, culture and traditions. Some students even took a trip to the local supermarket to buy Biltong, a traditional South African food.

Acknowledging everything we have experienced so far, we have realised how grateful we are for everything we have in London. This includes things such as a free Oyster card to get to school everyday by the bus, and also free school meals for those who need it.'
