In February 2019 12 Ntafufu students and two teachers came to London for the return leg of our third exchange project.

While they were here the group took part in a range of exciting activities including seeing the sights of London, being welcomed as VIP guests to the new Mandela exhibition and watching the West End production of the Lion King. The group also spent much of their time at The Urswick School - giving assemblies and teaching lessons.

They touched the lives of the whole school community and made lasting friendships with many. On leaving, one of the Ntafufu students gave a speech which sums up the positive impact of the exchange:

"Coming here has given us a great opportunity to establish lasting connections. We have experienced a lot of different things which we wouldn’t have been able to experience if we hadn’t been here. Many huge thanks to Broaden Out Their Horizons. Bringing together young souls from all around the world is a noble cause. The opportunity for this cannot be put into words, we thank you for that. Coming to the host families, they went out of their way to make us feel at home, thank you so much to all of you guys. To everyone, a huge thanks for the warm welcome you extended to us, the time we spent with you guys has gone faster than the speed of lightening. We made your place our place, you made your place our place, thank you."
